Life on the Road

heaterTraveling across the country is always an adventure but this was a first.

After spending 5 minutes trying to figure out the heat control in my hotel room I’m cold and frustrated and decide to call the front desk and ask for help.

Wendy: I can’t seem to get the heater to turn on in my room.

Front Desk: Oh, that’s because we don’t have heat in the rooms.

Wendy: You don’t have heat?

Front Desk: No.

Wendy: It’s pretty cold in my room.

Front Desk: Yes, we know. But legally we don’t have to provide heat until October 1st.

Wendy: What?

Front Desk: We can bring you an extra blanket from another room if you’d like.

Wendy: Groan…

Current temperature outside is 57 degrees and it’s about the same in here. Good night.

I've spent my career working with people and organizations to help them build their brands. We live in a connected world where that line between a personal and professional persona has become nonexistent. Your brand is you 24/7. This blog is about me and my life. Some of it will relate to my passion for the real estate industry and some of it will just be about me living life and exploring my interests. The opinions expressed here are my own personal opinions.

  1. Legally, I don’t have to stay at your hotel either, and also, legally, I can tweet and post anything I want about ridiculous customer service…
